He went on to complete his Doctor of Science in Technical Engineering at ETH Zurich, Switzerland in 1955 \u2014 one of the world\u2019s leading institutions in engineering and technology.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">He began his academic career at Cairo University, where he progressed through various positions from his graduation until 1958. He then joined Assiut University, becoming Professor and Chair of the Structural Concrete Structures Department in the Faculty of Engineering in 1965. In 1969, he moved to Ain Shams University to hold the same position and assumed responsibility for managing the Reinforced Concrete Research Laboratory as part of the university\u2019s academic activities.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In addition to his academic responsibilities, Dr. El-Hashimy served as Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University (1977\u20131983), and later as President of Ain Shams University (1983\u20131989). His tenure was marked by the modernization of engineering education, stronger connections with industry, and the introduction of updated engineering codes in line with<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element
